Now recovering from a very beautiful and inspiring weekend on 'Lowland Photo Festival' in Antwerp. My thanks go to Aagje de Donker and Jan Loos for the organization and for their inviting me as speaker, but also to all those volunteers who did their best that everything runs as smoothly as possible. Also a big thanks to all who comes to see my presentation! The more than 600 seats were well filled. Along with all the positive responses afterwards this gives quite a nice feeling. :) I enjoyed the many beautiful presentations of the other speakers and the fine conversations with other photographers and friends and look back at a successful weekend with for me the reading of Jasper Doest as a very special and beautiful highlight.
Bio Photo Festival in Italy
On Friday, September 23, my short multivision show 'Passion' will be presented at BioPhoto Festival in Budoia, Italy. Beside a series of multivisions there is also the award ceremony of the 'BioPhotoContest 2016'. Klick here voor more information and the entire program.
GDT Nature Photographer of the Year 2016
The award ceremony of the nature Photo Contest 'GDT Nature Photographer of the Year 2016' took place last weekend. Very glad that this image of barnacles, I made on my last trip to Finland/Norway in 2013, ended up with a 6th place in the category 'other animals'. Either my photography has almost entirely stopped for several years due to illness, turns out that I still can find images in my archive which appeal to the jury. Nevertheless, I hope that there will come more and more new images in my archive. ;) My sincerest congratulations to the all-over-winner and therefore 'GDT Nature Photographer of the Year 2016' Andreas Geh and all the other winners with their beautiful images.
