Awarded by 'European Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2019'
My image „Stormy coast“ is awarded in the category birds by the 'European Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2019'! Congratulations to all the other winners of this great competition!
This photo was taken on a stormy day in early March on the Dyrhólaey peninsula in Iceland. Huge waves of the raging Atlantic Ocean regularly hit this rock formation where the first Kittiwakes (Rissa tridactyla) were sitting on their nests in a sheltered corner.
Recently I was a guest in the 'Landschaftsfotografie Podcast' made by Nicoalas Alexander Otto. Who is curious about what we have discussed, can listen to this podcast here.
